It provides information about the noise level, how long exposure occurs, and measures the level of the exposure. All you need is a personal digital noise dosimeter (Peltor TMD200), an analogue, digital or piezo sound level meter.
How does it work?
There are three ways of measuring sound pressure levels:
Analogue. Analogue devices, such as the TMD200, measure a number.
Digital. Digital devices, such as the P3A or P3P, measure an integer value.
Frequency. Frequency-measuring devices, such as the A.M.T. 1000, measure a number.
